Wednesday afternoon, the Arizona House Ethics Committee will seek legal guidance on whether to give embattled State Rep. David Stringer a chance to present documents members originally subpoenaed out of public view.

These are documents that Stringer has argued were taken out of context.

The Prescott legislator was removed from leadership roles last year amid complaints that he had made a series of racially inflammatory remarks.

Earlier this year, another investigation launched after an expunged sex offense indictment surfaced against him from another state.

The Ethics Committee plans to vote publicly on next steps at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
