Drought has been a near-constant in much of Arizona for decades. One of the ways the city of Phoenix has tried — and, many would say, succeeded — in staying ahead of that condition is through water banking and storage.

Phoenix also took a unique step by partnering with Tucson in 2014 to help ensure the water supply of both communities.

What is next for that supply in Phoenix, especially in the wake of what an approved regional Drought Contingency Plan may lead to?
