The Trump Administration has made border enforcement the centerpiece of its approach to immigration policy. Rhetoric related to a new or reinforced wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and harsher policies on Central American migrants has been a large part of the focus.
But the overall realm of immigration policy — and the possibilities of reform — encompasses a number of other categories.
The Migration Policy Institute has released two new reports — one of which is called Eight Key U.S. Immigration Policy Issues: State of Play and Unanswered Questions.
MPI Senior Fellow Doris Meissner joined The Show to talk about it.
