After an uphill battle, moms from the advocacy group Dignified Changes are celebrating.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed a bill into law that requires some new or renovated public buildings to install at least one adult changing table.

Courtney Burnett was one of the mothers behind the effort. She says Arizona is the second state to pass a bill like this.

"And it’s a huge step forward in accessibility to our community and ability for our families to be fully a part of a community and not stay at home for fear of not having a place to change our children when we’re out and about."

The bill received overwhelming support from both sides of the aisle.

House Rules Chairman Anthony Kern was one of the few opponents. He told KJZZ in an earlier interview that it was bad public policy to mandate adult changing tables even in public places.
