Mohave County will be the home to a $3 billion renewable energy data center, The Hive. Pegasus Group Holdings and Plus Minus Power will be partnering to launch a large installation over 700 acres.

Tami Ursenbach with Mohave County Economic Development said the new infrastructure will have a positive impact on the community.

“One of the biggest impacts is they're bringing in 5G fiber. And because they have to have redundancy, it's coming in from two areas," Ursenbach said. "So one of them will come down through Kingman, and the other will come from the western area. That means that other businesses and residents will be able to feed off of that.”

The project is underway and is expected to be operational by the end of 2019.
