A tour bus driver may be charged under Arizona’s “Stupid
Motorist Law” after he and 33 passengers were caught in a flooded wash Sunday. The group
was headed from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas when the driver entered the wash.

Paradise Valley’s police department was the first in the country to use cameras to determine whether you were driving too fast and deserved official punishment. You will see photo enforcement vans in a number of Valley communities, but the 101 Freeway in Scottsdale turned its cameras off after a pilot program.

The United States has formally requested the rearrest of Mexican drug lord Raphael Caro Quintero. He was unexpectedly freed from a Mexican prison last week. He had served 28 years for the 1985 kidnapping, torture and murder of Drug Enforcement Administration agent Enrique Camarena.

Legal same-sex marriages are now recognized under the federal tax code. The
U.S. Department of the Treasury and Internal Revenue Service announced Thursday
that tax returns for same-sex marriages will be classified as married.
