Eighteen people have been indicted for allegedly stealing ten million dollars worth of raw copper from an Arizona mine. Two supervisors from the ASARCO mine were among the suspects. The thefts from the ASARCO mine near Hayden started as early as 2006, according to investigators.

A 14-year veteran of the Department of Public Safety was killed Monday night when his patrol car was hit by a tanker truck in southwestern Arizona. The crash took place as three DPS officers were investigating an injury collision in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 8, about 40 miles east of Yuma.

Coconino County sheriff's deputies have arrested a 25-year-old transient for tossing a cigarette that ignited a fire along I-40, near Flagstaff on Thursday.
