Report On Health Effects Of E-Cigarettes Has Mixed Messages

A new study looking into the health effects of e-cigarettes has some mixed signals.

On one hand, e-cigarettes seem to be less harmful than traditional cigarettes. But on the other hand, kids who vape may be more inclined to smoke later on.

To help understand the results, The Show's Mark Brodie is joined by Adam Levinthal, director of the University of Southern California Health, Emotion and Addiction Laboratory. Levinthal also worked on the report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.
