Air Canada has launched a new air service from Phoenix to Montreal, Quebec.

The airline will operate the new route between Sky Harbor International Airport and Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport in Canada. Deborah Ostreicher is with the Phoenix Aviation Department.

"Montreal is a very large market for Phoenix and it is one of the few markets where we have so much demand and didn't have any nonstop service," Ostreicher said.

Sky Harbor officials say the service will provide a vital link for visitors and the international business community.

The flight will operate three times per week.
