After weeks of skyrocketing numbers of flu cases in Arizona, state health officials say the numbers are coming down.

Jessica Rigler with the Arizona Department of Health Services said 650 cases were reported in the last week.

"We’ve seen decreasing numbers week-over-week over the last several weeks now which makes us feel like at this time we are starting to finally see that decrease of influenza in Arizona," Rigler said.

Rigler also said the cases do not include those in which sick people stayed home and didn’t go to the doctor.
