Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey says he’ll sign a bill approved by lawmakers yesterday that extends the current six-tenths of a cent sales tax for public education.

Proposition 301 is set to expire in a few years, and there had been a lot of discussion about how to make sure the roughly $600 million the tax brings in for education every year didn’t go away. But, some public education advocates are still nervous about the future.

The group AZ Schools Now, for example, says it has “grave concerns.” Dana Naimark, a member of that group and the president and CEO of Children’s Action Alliance, joined the show to talk about those concerns.
