U.S. national parks are some of the most remarkable places in the country.

From Grand Canyon National Park here in Arizona to Yellowstone or Yosemite, there are a lot of them we all know and love, but there are also hundreds that are lesser known — but no less interesting.

After a 25-year career in the biotechnology sector, David Kroese changed paths and became one of a very small number of people who have visited all 418 National Park Service units in the country. And he wrote a book about it.

It’s called "The Centennial: A Journey Through America's National Park System," and he spoke with The Show about his journey.
