"Water Serpent" from Phoenix-based Walter Productions was one of 14 public art installations on display at Scottsdale's Canal Convergence in 2019.

Friday evening, a 10-day celebration of water begins in downtown Scottsdale.

Canal Convergence features public art installations from around the world, and on the first weekend of the event, attendees will be able to purchase beers made from recycled water from Scottsdale’s Advanced Water Treatment Plant. The theme of the event this year is “The Story of Water.”

The Show spoke with Thomas "Breeze" Marcus of the Continuum art collective and Kristina Ricci of Phoenix-based Walter Productions, along with Lindsay Glatz and William Nemitoff from New Orleans.

Canal Convergence begins Friday evening at 4 p.m.
