After Deadly San Luis Attack, Authorities Recover Grenade Launcher, Other Arms
After an attack that left three dead in a Sonoran border city, authorities recovered a grenade launcher among other weapons, drugs and money.
On Saturday night in San Luis Rio Colorado, a 50-minute drive south of Yuma, gunmen attacked a car shop, leaving two men dead at the scene. A third man, who was wounded, was taken to a local hospital and died shortly thereafter, according to state and local releases.
At the car shop, state authorities recovered ammunition and several firearms — including the grenade launcher — as well as drugs, money and tactical gear. They also found two vehicles reported stolen in the United States.
Witnesses told authorities that the attack was carried out by masked gunmen who arrived in a dark sedan. The state Attorney’s Office is overseeing the investigation.
