White House, Congressional Democrats Strike Deal On USMCA

On Tuesday morning, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Democratic support for a new trade deal with Mexico and Canada.

Democrats had withheld support of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement until changes were made concerning labor standards and the importation of generic drugs among other things. 

Ian Kullgren is a labor and immigration reporter for Politico. He’s been covering the deal to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement

He joined The Show to explain why it took over a year to get to where we are today with the trade agreement.
