Women in Arizona earn 83.7% of what men earn in the state and that's actually progress for full-time female workers.

Arizona's full-time women workers are still far from being paid equally, but according to just released 2018 earnings data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the wage gap has improved by 1.7 percentage points in a year — and Arizona's women are faring better than many across the country.

Arizona women now earn 83.7 cents for every dollar men make in the state, higher than the national rate of 81.1 cents.

Although Arizona's ratio has fluctuated, it has remained above 80.0% since 2010. California has the highest ratio among the states at 88.3%.
