Martha McSally

Since Sen. Martha McSally is currently in Washington, D.C., for the Senate impeachment trial, she addressed the Mandatory Meeting of the State Committee of the Republican Party of Arizona in a pre-recorded video. A transcript of her speech follows.

McSALLY: Hello to all my Republican friends in Arizona. I wish I could be there with you, but I'm stuck here in Washington DC. Thanks to Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Adam Schiff. Have you been watching any of this? Adam Schiff and his "Shiff-show" have clearly stated — we knew it was in his heart — that they want to overturn the results of the 2016 election and keep president Trump off the ballot in 2020. He has such disdain for the American voters and our values that this is what they're presenting.

If you've been watching it all, I'm sure you feel like it's more painful than having major dental surgery without anesthesia, but trust me, we are deployed here and we are going to continue to fight the fight for what matters to Arizona is and what matters to America and I got your back. I want to also thank all of you for your involvement in the party, the work you all do, what you've done and what you're going to do in 2020 is absolutely essential for Arizona and the country as a whole. 

We need all hands on deck for victory in 2020 up and down the ballot. So keep up the great work. We are 283 days away from the most important election of our lifetime, and we need your help to keep this state and country moving forward. We know conservative policies are working for Arizona and America and we can't stop now. Thanks to the initiatives of president Trump and Republicans and Congress, we're seeing real positive results for American families.

The economy is a strongest it's been in years. President Trump and Republicans and the Senate and the house secured massive tax cuts, deregulation, and now trade deals that are good for American workers. Unemployment rates are now at all time lows and wages are rising. We've also confirmed 187 young conservative judges. If we keep it going and this rate we're gonna flip the 9th Circuit. And just a few weeks ago I was down in Yuma for the completion of the hundredth mile of the border wall. 

This is a game changer for border security. I'm proud to stand with president Trump on issues that impact Arizonans and proud to be the first 2020 Senator endorsed by him. I'm looking forward to being on the ballot with president Trump this year and campaigning together so we can continue to work together past 2020. I've been fighting hard to clean up Washington, hold the government accountable, lower healthcare costs, cut taxes, and take care of those who have served our country.

It's so important for us to keep Donald Trump in the White House and keep the Senate red. And make no mistake, Arizona is ground zero to keep the Senate majority in the GOP hands. We're going to make sure that Chuck Schumer is not in charge. We all need to fight and win as a team, though we know Maricopa County and Arizona are being targeted by the far left Dems in Washington who don't stand for the values of most Arizonans. What's even worse, the media is right in step with the Democrats and their extreme agenda. They don't even realize it, of course. So when they didn't like it when I call them liberal hacks. I'm a fighter pilot and I call it like it is.

We all need to step up and fight to keep this state red. Join the team at McSally grassroots coalition or the NRSC to help get out the vote and lead fellow supporters. We can't do this without you. Thanks again for everything you do. Let's continue to fight to keep America and Arizona great.
