Two years ago, lawmakers and Governor Ducey came together to pass legislation to fight the opioid epidemic hitting Arizona and the rest of the country.

On Tuesday, the Governor’s office issued a progress report, which included a 13% drop in opioid prescriptions that were filled. And it cited the Governor’s proposed budget for the next fiscal year, which includes $6 million in ongoing related resources.

But there is considerably more work still to be done. For more, The Show spoke with Dr. Min Kang, assistant professor of child health and medicine at University of Arizona's College of Medicine in Phoenix.
