More Arizona Colleges Canceling In-Person Classes
Northern Arizona University became the latest school to respond to the coronavirus by canceling in-person classes wherever possible.
In-person classes at NAU will continue through Friday.
But President Rita Cheng announced that after students go on spring break next week, classes will be held online effective March 23.
NAU is the last public university in Arizona to make that decision.
University of Arizona officials announced Thursday that they would extend spring break for two days to help transition instruction online. Classes there will resume on Wednesday.
Arizona State University classes will go online starting Monday.
The Maricopa County Community College District canceled all of its in-person classes next week.
Staff will use that time to prep for online courses.
Any community college courses already taught remotely will continue as scheduled.
