The economic and social impacts of the coronavirus are far-reaching.

Schools are shut down across the state, leaving families to balance child care with work.

Unemployment numbers are surging as businesses are forced to close. And some small businesses are wondering if they’ll be able to reopen when this is all over — whatever that may mean. 

To talk about how low-income families and children have been affected, The Show spoke with Siman Qaasim, president and CEO of Children’s Action Alliance.
