On Friday, Gov. Doug Ducey appointed former Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System Director Tom Betlach to lead the Arizona Department of Economic Security — for the next 75 days anyway.
The news came after the Yellow Sheet Report pointed out that Dr. Cara Christ was doing double duty during a pandemic as both the Arizona Department of Economic Security director and as director of the state Department of Health Services, a title she still holds.
