What happens to intellectually disabled people if medical care is rationed because of COVID-19?
Are they pushed the end of the list or perhaps they are moved to the front? Phoenix author and journalist Amy Silverman wrote about this hypothetical situation for the Arizona Daily Star as part of a local reporting project for ProPublica.
She spoke with The Show about the general concerns for people with intellectual disabilities and how they would be treated if the rationing of medical care became a reality.
