Let’s turn away from COVID-19 and turn instead to the mirror. Society’s idea of what’s beautiful has always been youth-obsessed — that’s no big secret. But where does that leave the rest of us? You know, those of us who might be a little older than 21?

The Show spoke with two L.A.-based writers and the hosts of a podcast that, even in its name, rejects the idea that getting older is a bad thing. Doree Shafrir and Kate Spencer are two friends who host Forever35, a podcast about self-care.

Part of their thing is talking plainly about the products they turn to solve all of life’s little problems, from skin care to traveling in comfort. They’re not trying to get people to buy the top-tier brands — it’s more about buying with intention and recognizing your needs and tastes.

The Show spoke with Shafrir and Spencer about how age, products and serums play a role in people's lives.
