Arizona’s wildfire season shouldn’t kick into high gear for several weeks, but smaller fires have already burned this spring.

A wetter winter — along with COVID-19-related complications — will likely lead to greater challenges for firefighters when more damaging and destructive blazes get underway in more fuel-filled areas.

John Truett, Arizona’s fire management officer, joined The Show to talk about what could be coming and how firefighters will deal with it.

Truett explained how Arizona's rainy winter is going to affect Arizona’s wildfire season.
