The Show regularly checks in with the Editorial Board of the Arizona Republic to talk about the big issues facing the state and the region — featured in the newspaper’s Viewpoints section.

In 2018, Doug Ducey was reelected governor, and Kyrsten Sinema became Arizona’s first elected Democratic U.S. Senator in a couple of decades.

Despite their different party affiliations, tens of thousands of Arizonans voted for both of them. Now, they find themselves — at least to some extent — on different sides of how the state should be handling its reopening amid COVID-19.

That’s at the heart of this weekend’s column by Bob Robb in the Arizona Republic. Phil Boas, editorial page editor for the Republic, joined The Show for his weekly appearance to discuss it.
