Even if you have a rewards card, expect to pay more at the grocery store for the near future.

Julie Murphree with the Arizona Farm Bureau said panic buying led to a disruption in the food supply chain.

But what items will see an increase in prices?

“Probably across the board and certainly with your basics because obviously in the supply chain are fresh produce, are meats,” said Murphree. “Those will probably see some of the most impact.”   

She also said there’s never been a real shortage in food, but the supply chain needs time to catch up to consumer demand.
