The 2020 legislative session came to a close in stunning fashion this week after three Republican senators sided with Democrats to adjourn.
Senators had intended to sine die on Tuesday, but not until after voting on 28 bills approved by their House colleagues.
The move to adjourn before any of those bills could be heard, killed them — at least for now — infuriating some conservatives who had argued for continuing their work even amidst the pandemic.

Sen. Heather Carter (R-Cave Creek) was one of the Republicans who voted to end the session, and The Show caught up with her after the surprising vote.
The Show also spoke to Sen. J.D. Mesnard (R-Chandler), one of the Republican senators who voted against adjourning sine die.
