COVID-19 Cases Increasing In Maricopa County Jails

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says cases of COVID-19 are increasing among inmates in county jails.
In a statement, county spokesman Fields Moseley said positive cases in the jails have risen from six to 30 since May 30.
Moseley said 23 of the cases are still in custody in four different jails, where they are isolated. He said there are 78 inmates in isolation waiting on pending tests
Moseley said contact tracing takes place immediately among the inmate population and staff and the Sheriff's Office is identifying staff that potentially had close contact with infected individuals.
