The Grand Canyon University men’s basketball team has been placed in quarantine after four student-athletes and two student managers tested positive for COVID-19.

Student athletes began returning to the campus this past week for voluntary individual workouts. As a precaution, they were placed in a 72-hour quarantine, pending results of physical and coronavirus testing. However, nearly one -hird of the team tested positive.

Now, four asymptomatic athletes are being quarantined for the next two weeks. And, as a precaution, their 10 other teammates also are confined to their designated on-campus residence halls. The two managers who tested positive will be quarantined at home.
