From the KJZZ newsroom, I’m Al Macias. The city of Mesa will break ground on the new spring training home for the Chicago Cubs on July 11. The $99 million complex will also become the home for ASU baseball. There will be seven practice fields including that will be exclusively used by ASU.

The complex, including the 15,000 seat stadium, should be ready for spring training by February 2014.
