The Governor’s Office is distributing $975,000 from Arizona’s Coronavirus Relief Fund to homeless shelters around the state. The funding will go toward 12 organizations in Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and Yuma.

Phoenix’s Human Services Campus says some money is going toward operating heat-relief shelters. The nonprofit says social distancing measures mean fewer people can be accommodated in existing spaces.

Phoenix nonprofit A New Leaf says some funding will go toward workforce development to assist financially struggling families.
