Record Primary Turnout In Maricopa County

The Maricopa County Primary Election is Tuesday and there has already been a record turnout.

As of Monday evening, the county had received more than 713,000 ballots. Those include ballots from early mail-in voting, early in-person voting, and emergency voting.

According to the county, nearly 30% of all eligible Maricopa county voters have participated in the election. So far the Recorder’s Office has tabulated 684,000 ballots.

The county must receive all ballots by 7 p.m. on Tuesday for them to be counted. Ballots can be still be delivered to drop-off boxes and voting locations.

The Recorder’s Office says there will be between 90 and 100 vote centers available for in-person voting on Tuesday.
