Earlier this week, President Donald Trump seemed to welcome support from QAnon, a right-wing conspiracy group that the FBI recently designated a domestic terrorist threat.

Arizona Sen. Martha McSally dismissed the group, which spreads misinformation and conspiracy theories about child sex trafficking, mass shootings, vaccines and the Black Lives Matter Movement.

"Yeah, it is crazy. I speak for myself, and we need to move on and solve the problems of this country," McSally said.

McSally says she speaks to President Trump regularly, but won’t comment on his refusal to disavow the group’s endorsement.

"I talk to him often, on many different topics," she said. "He is his own person, and he’s going to be his own voice. But I can just tell you where I’m at."

McSally said she agreed with Trump’s criticism of widespread mail-in voting, while at the same time defending Arizona’s vote-by-mail system, saying it was reliable and trustworthy after decades of practice.
