A former Northern Arizona University football player may have just gotten his first big break in the NFL.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed former NAU Lumberjack cornerback Khalil Dorsey, 22, to their 53-man roster.

While at NAU, Dorsey made the 2018 all-Big Sky division first team. As a defensive player for the Lumberjacks, Dorsey is credited with 139 tackles and eight interceptions over his four seasons. 

He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Ravens in May, but was cut from the team and placed on the practice squad in September. While on the practice squad, he was called up to play two games, against Kansas City and Washington, before signing with the Ravens officially on Friday.

He’ll play his first game as a full-fledged Raven against the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend.
