Can Arizona Voters Wear MAGA Hats Or Biden Shirts At The Polls?
Arizona law prohibits political campaigning within 75 feet of a polling place. That means campaign signs, literature, and representatives aren’t allowed near voters who are actively voting.
Maricopa County Elections spokesperson Erika Flores explained that this rule does not apply to individual voters, though — they are allowed to wear a Trump hat or a Biden shirt while they vote.
“State law does allow voters to wear something political, but, it does not allow poll observers or poll workers to wear anything political," she said. "But the state law does allow voters to be able to wear something political.”
Voters who see violations are encouraged to inform a poll worker, or call the Secretary of State’s Office, which will send elections officials to the site to investigate.
