Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich is launching an investigation into comments Gov. Doug Ducey made urging business leaders to vote against Proposition 208.

Lawyers for the Invest In Ed initiative filed a complaint against the governor, alleging that he broke state law by using government resources to influence an election, the Arizona Capitol Times reported.

A spokesperson for Brnovich confirmed that the AG’s office is actively investigating the governor but would not comment on pending investigations.

Ducey is accused of repeatedly urging business leaders to vote against Proposition 208 while on a conference call, using a phone in his office —  which the attorney for Proposition 208 Roopali Desai argued in her complaint is a clear violation of the law.
