Arizona Democrat Raul Grijalva called on U.S. Sen. Martha McSally to concede the race she mathematically can no longer win.

McSally trails Mark Kelly by about 80,000 votes as of Thursday with less than that left to be counted. Kelly has claimed victory and begun to set up a transition team. McSally’s key adviser on southern Arizona issues has left his position and will start to work for Gov. Doug Ducey. But McSally hasn’t conceded.

"You pick up the phone, you call your opponent despite how bitter the campaign was, and you congratulate that person and then publicly concede and acknowledge the transition has happened," Grijalva said.

She hasn’t joined other Republicans in the state in making unfounded accusations of voter fraud in Arizona.
