A letter sent Wednesday to President-elect Joe Biden offers to perform part of a musical based on the life of a “Dreamer” from Arizona at the White House.

Thousands of people have already seen the production named “¡Americano!” in Phoenix.

The Musical “¡Americano!” is based on the life and patriotism of Antonio Valdovinos de la Mora, who learned he was not a U.S. citizen when trying to enlist in the Marines on his 18th birthday.

Valdovinos wrote the letter to Biden. It offers the performance to help celebrate Biden’s promised reversal of Trump immigration policies, like ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

“I think this is an attempt to literally just bring back the conversation and the hope to Dreamers that there can be traction in Washington through a new presidency,” Valdovinos said.

Valdovinos himself does not play a role in the musical. But if Biden accepts his offer, he plans to be in Washington for the performance.
