Warmer Temperatures, Slight Chance Of Rain Ahead
Temperatures will warm up just a little bit in the early part of this week, but cool down later in the week as a storm system moves into the region.
National Weather Service meteorologist Sean Benedict says Tuesday could reach 80 degrees -- but there’s a slight chance of rain after that.
“The best chances are going to be around southeast Arizona, and decreasing chances towards the northwest, so there’s a chance," Benedict said. "Right now we have about a 30% chance in Phoenix of seeing any measurable rain.”
Temperatures will be slightly above normal in the high country as well, with highs reaching close to 50 degrees in Flagstaff on Tuesday.
South-central & SW AZ: During the first half of this week highs will climb ~10°F above normal, w/ near 80°F Mon-Tue in Phoenix. Breezy conditions are expected Mon-Tue. A weather system will bring a slight chance (30%) of rain late-Wed thru Thu. Best chances will be in SE AZ #azwx pic.twitter.com/ORtm58zEuV
