This weekend's vaccination events will cover Glendale Union High School District, Higley Unified School District, Gilbert Public Schools, and Queen Creek Unified School District.

The events are for any child care workers or school staff who work within that geographic area — that includes K-12 public, private, and charter schools as well as licensed or unlicensed child care centers.

Several districts including in Phoenix, Chandler and Scottsdale have already hosted vaccination events. The county plans to continue hosting events until all school districts in the county are covered.

"Any staff member of a public, private, or charter school or child care facility will be able to get vaccinated at the site closest to their work location," a county spokesperson said in an email to KJZZ. "We anticipate approximately 60,000 total people vaccinated through these limited-access PODs."

Educators who missed a previous event in their area can sign up for a waitlist through Maricopa County to be notified about future events.
