Two months after the first COVID-19 vaccines were administered in Arizona, about one in eight people in the state has had at least one shot. More Arizonans this week became eligible to get a vaccine. There are also now more locations offering vaccines in Arizona.

As of Feb. 15, Maricopa County is allowing anyone 65 or older to get a shot. The county estimates 400,000 people became eligible for a vaccine when the age limit was lowered from 75 to 65. K-12 school staff, child care workers, health care professionals, law enforcement, and residents and staff of long-term care facilities are also eligible for vaccines in Maricopa County

The biggest vaccine sites in the county at State Farm Stadium and Phoenix Municipal Stadium are fully booked through the rest of the month. But there are now more than 200 other locations offering vaccines in Maricopa County. The federal retail pharmacy program is now supplying vaccines for dozens of Fry’s, Albertsons, Safeway and Walgreens pharmacies. Some health clinics including Mountain Park Health, Pleasant Pediatrics and Clinica La Familia now also have vaccine supply. Vaccinators statewide are listed at azdhs.gov/findvaccine.
