Arizona is set to receive nearly 324,000 vaccine doses next week, higher than the amount allocated the previous week, about 255,000.

This allocation includes 136,890 Pfizer doses, 130,100 Moderna doses and 57,000 Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses.

“We are told by our federal partners that we can continue this the minimum going forward, and we should not receive less than this except in our Janssen. We do anticipate there to be lower doses for about two or three weeks as the manufacturing catches up," said Arizona Department of Health Services Director Dr. Cara Christ during a Friday press conference. 

The single-shot Janssen vaccine, also known as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, was approved by the Food and Drug Administration on Feb. 27 for emergency use.

Christ added that almost all of the Modern vaccines and all of the Johnson & Johnson vaccines have been allocated to the counties, and the latter could be in some Arizona counties as early as Friday.
