The border wall in Sasabe. President Donald Trump put up 450 miles of border wall during his presidency.

When he was just a candidate for the White House and not yet president, Donald Trump talked about immigration, border security and, most enthusiastically, a wall to keep migrants from entering the U.S. via the southern border. Billions were spent, but many areas are still incomplete. That has left the Biden administration in a position to figure out what’s next, as it contemplates whether to finish what was started, to tear it down, or to try some other option.

Simon Romero of the New York Times filed a report this week about the border wall from Sierra Vista here in Arizona. The Show spoke with him for more about what he saw in southern Arizona.
