Starting Friday, March 19, and each Friday thereafter, additional vaccine appointments will be made available at all four state COVID-19 vaccination sites for the following week.

Friday at 11 a.m., Arizonans will be able to schedule appointments for the week of March 22 at the University of Arizona campus in Tucson, State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona State University’s Phoenix Municipal Stadium near Tempe and Chandler-Gilbert Community College in the Chandler. Approximately 79,000 first-dose appointments will be available that week in total. The state Department of Health Services may add more appointment slots because of cancellations and no-shows at those sites.

Each Wednesday, the state Department of Health Services will announce on Twitter and Facebook the approximate number of appointments at each site. More information about vaccination sites and how to get a COVID-19 vaccine can be found on the ADHS website.

“Arizonans are eager to get the vaccine, and we are working to quickly expand access to appointments to meet that demand,” Gov. Doug Ducey said in a press release. “The additional appointments will get more Arizonans vaccinated, while helping to protect our communities and taking us one step closer to normalcy. Thank you to ADHS, healthcare professionals, and volunteers working at vaccination sites across the state.”

Approximately one in seven Arizona residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
