Medical Expert: Rescinding Mask Mandates Leaves Arizona Vulnerable

The state’s coronavirus infections continue to fall, with just 586 new cases and 23 deaths as of March 30. A little more than 29% of the state has been vaccinated.

The declining numbers prompted Gov. Doug Ducey to roll back all COVID-19 restrictions. This move has alarmed health experts, with many saying it’s too premature to throw all caution to the wind.

The Show spoke with Dr. Shad Marvasti with the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine for an assessment on the current situation with COVID-19.
