Prescott Rescinds Its COVID-19 Emergency Proclamation
Following Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s executive order last week, the city of Prescott has taken similar action and rescinded its COVID-19 emergency proclamation.
Prescott spokesperson John Heiney says businesses are starting to go back to normal, and the summer looks promising.
“You know our summer season is coming up with special events. We’ve heard from a lot of the event organizers, and they would like very much to be able to have the outdoor art fairs, the parades and all the things that make Prescott great during the summers," Heiney said.
Heiney also says from a business standpoint, he is unsure if there will be a lot of change in health-safety protocols, but Ducey’s order allows restaurants and bars to go back to full capacity.
Health experts are very concerned about a fourth surge of the virus in other parts of the U.S. and rolling back health protocols too soon.
