Kingman, Arizona officials continue to investigate a cyberattack that compromised the city’s computer system.

It’s been six weeks since hackers wreaked havoc, and the city’s public affairs coordinator, Coleen Haines, said customers are still affected.

"I would say one of the big impacts that’s ongoing currently is the portion where people can log on online to pay their utility bill," Haines said. "That log on system still is not working."

Haines said all delinquent notice fees have been waived as residents contend with long wait times on the phone.

What’s unknown is how much personal information has been compromised, according to Haines.

"We still don’t know if information — whether it’s internal or external — was exposed," she said, "but like we’ve said before and continue to say, the city has an obligation to inform any customers or even internal staff members if their information has been damaged or exposed."
