A major Arizona COVID-19 testing provider this week is joining the effort to get more Arizonans immunized.

Embry Health has performed over a million COVID-19 tests in Arizona throughout the pandemic. The provider has set up more than 70 drive-through testing locations across the state and this week, many of those sites will offer shots in addition to nasal swabs.

“Right now we are reaching out to anyone, anywhere. We have 30,000 vaccines that do need to be put in arms,” said Joseph Harris, Embry Health director of government relations.

Embry Health says it will take appointments or walk-ins for vaccinations through May 18. The provider will also do house calls.

“If you give us a call and say, ‘I’m at my home, I don’t have the convenience or the luxury to travel,’ we will come to you and offer you the vaccine," Harris said.

Embry is providing the Moderna vaccine, which is approved for adults 18 and older and requires two doses.
