Two conservative members of the U.S House of Representatives, Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-Ga.), hosted their “America First” Rally in Mesa on Friday night.

Gaetz and Taylor-Greene were joined by Arizona Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward, and state congress members Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar.

Gaetz told the crowd that his and Taylor-Greene’s decision to rally in Arizona centered around the State Senate audit of the 2020 presidential election.

“We are here in Arizona to stand in solidarity with the Arizona election audit. We are working to make elections better, not just to right the wrongs of the past, but to ensure we have a better future,” said Gaetz.

The lawmakers also touched on mask mandates and the potential for a bipartisan committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Gaetz also announced a plan to introduce a federal bill to ban businesses from refusing to serve unvaccinated people. A similar bill failed to pass in Arizona this week.
