Mexico prepares for upcoming presidential election

On July 1, Mexico will elect a new president. Whichever of the three major candidates wins will take responsibility for a country that's reeling with drug violence.
KJZZ's Peter O'Dowd and Michel Marizco are traveling Mexico's border with the United States to report on the elections and to ask why they matter to the U.S. You'll hear their stories prior to the election, but O'Dowd checked in with Morning Edition host Dennis Lambert on Tuesday.
